BODY SCAN MEDITATION – DUBWISE YOGA

Trying a body scan meditation is a great place to start your mindfulness journey…

Make yourself comfortable.

Lying on your back on the floor or on your bed, allow your eyes to close gently. Take a few moments to get in touch with the movement of your breath and the sensation of your body. When you are ready, begin by focusing your attention on your toes and then move up the body slowly, focusing on each body part as you go. The ball and heel of your foot…the sides and upper part of the foot…the ankle…

As you breathe in, imagine the breath going down your body and into your toes. As you breathe out, imagine the breath going back up your body and out of your nose. Repeat this process of gentle awareness of each body part and sensation until you reach the top of your head.
